With a wealth of experience and knowledge ready to transcend to the next aspiring musician of today, Bang On Music delivers quality and affordable drum tuition to students of all ages, ranging from beginner - advanced, based in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.  

 

With over 17 years performance experience and the motivation and passion to help tailor students musical goals and future achievements, Monica is here to get you drumming like a pro! 

Since completing her Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Performance at The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney 2012, and relocating to Melbourne a year later, it is here that Monica continues to fuel her passion by dedicating her time wholeheartedly to teaching drums and performing throughout the country with her band Stonefox who have exceeded over 6 million collective plays on Spotify.

 

Monica prides herself on both her effective and efficient tutoring skills that cover a range of rhythmical elements including:
- Performance

- Technique development

- Sight reading
- Time keeping
and most importantly developing that crucial Groove and Feel, because that’s what it’s all about!  

Monica finds that there's no more rewarding feeling than sharing her knowledge with anyone eager to learn, and what better way to develop ones craft than in a positive environment.

She can be seen performing around Melbourne's most prominent venues with artists Vetta Borne and Stonefox. Monica had the honour of performing alongside Vetta Borne for Triple J's Like A Version in 2021. The multi instrumentalist, producer and songwriter has taken Monica on Australian tours and have performed main stage at Beyond the Valley Festival. 

Receiving airtime on the likes of Triple J, FBI Radio and Triple M to name a few, Stonefox has exceeded over 6 million collective plays on Spotify.

 

Monica prides herself on both her effective and efficient tutoring skills that cover a range of rhythmical elements in her drum lessons. These include:

Monica is a true lover of all musical styles and some of her favourite genres to teach include Funk, Fusion, Rock, Pop, Heavy Metal and Jazz.

All students have access to the driveway of the studio to use at their convenience, or alternatively available free street parking

Bang On Music is also located near public transport. 


Train: Glen Waverley Line - Catch a train to East Malvern station and walk 900m to reach the studio.

 

Bus: Catch the 612 bus to Waverley Rd/Chadstone Rd and walk 180m to reach the studio.
